Lupita & Charlie At The Museum

About the Painting:

This painting started out as a fairly realistic take of a photograph of me and my son, Charlie, at the archaeological museum in Ankara. We were standing by a statue of an ancient woman and I was holding my phone. Then the painting turned into me and Charlie standing by giant lion statues.

And finally, it morphed into me & Charlie becoming the ancient woman and the lions, then doubling ourselves. It’s a mystery how paintings evolve, but I’m excited with the end result here. I feel like it would make nice wallpaper. Something new!
